WHO QUALIFIES AND HOW TO SIGN UP

Getting registered as a member of the Saskatchewan Pension Plan is a simple process. There are only a few steps involved to qualify and apply:

CONFIRM ELIGIBILITY

If you’re a Saskatchewan resident between 18 and 71 years of age and you or your spouse have available RRSP contribution room, you qualify.


SELECT A BENEFICIARY

You may name either a person(s) or your estate as beneficiary, and you can change that beneficiary later on. Learn more about choosing a beneficiary.


SPECIFY INVESTMENT OPTION

After reviewing your Investment Options, you’re ready to go. The Balanced Fund (BF) is the default investment unless otherwise directed. You may change your fund allocation at any time.


CHOOSE CONTRIBUTION METHOD

You have flexible options for contributing to your pension and there are no minimums. You can make lump sum payments, transfer from another financial institution, set up on-line banking payments, or have pre-authorized contributions from your bank or credit card


RISK-FREE INITIAL 60-DAY REFUND PERIOD

Have the peace of mind knowing that you can receive the re-payment of contributions within 60 days of your initial deposit if your circumstances suddenly change.
