Remember, even funds with low risk ratings can experience ups and downs. The rating tells you how much the value has changed in the past, not what will happen in the future. Funds are locked-in until age 55.

Changing your fund mix
If you want to adjust how your savings are invested, simply fill out this form and mail, fax, or email it to us. You can change your fund mix twice per year at no cost, with a $50 fee for each additional change.
These changes occur monthly after earnings are calculated. The effective date is the last day of the month. Forms must be received 5 business days prior to the end of the month.

Contributing to your SPP is easy
However you imagine retirement, your pension plan is designed to work with your life. You can set a schedule or make contributions whenever it suits you. Contribute as much or as little as you like (within your RRSP limits)*:
By credit card
By mail
With preauthorized contributions
Through online banking or right at your bank branch

Transferring your savings into SPP
You can transfer your retirement savings directly into your SPP account and enjoy our low management expense ratio (MER) and professional fund management. It’s a simple way to set yourself up for a comfortable retirement.

Download and fill out Area I - Annuitant of the Transfer-In Form (or contact us for help). Send the form back to SPP (feel free to use our postage paid return address label).

Samantha Mathewson
Financial Investment Officer
Samantha is one of the newest additions to our SPP team, joining us as Financial Investment Officer. Born in Lethbridge and raised in Kindersley, she recently graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management in Acct and HRLR.
When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Samantha in her garden, crocheting, or enjoying a good book. We’re delighted to welcome Samantha to the team!
